I'm hooked on The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo.
I don't watch reality television...really, I don't! But oh how I love this show. I'm really just stunned that there are women who blow $68k on a Cadillac Escalade on a whim - just because they can. They throw $18,000 birthday parties for 11 year olds and tithe $15,000 a week at church! WHAT??? Seriously there is one woman who has her very own salon in her home and a hairdresser and make-up artist who arrive at her house each morning! WHAT??? I could go on and on. I just can't begin to think what it would be like to have your own shoe stylist who brought over the latest styles from New York just for you to try and then picking four or five pair that added up to $6500! WHAT???

Hotlanta
Oh and an update on my going to hell for reading this book. We had book club last night and although attendance was low, the ones who attended and read the book enjoyed it as much as I did...so I guess I'll have some company in hell!

I LOVE the Real Housewives series...but Atlanta has not been my favorite city...although I have to admit I am intrigued by their spending habits--can you imagine?
I've watched several reruns from the New York series (are there others besides Atlanta?) and it is rather addicting to see how superficial and petty these wealthy women can act. Maybe watching it jsut makes us feel better about our "poor" status.
